ALENOR K2S 20x20 butyl sealing tape
ALENOR K2S 20 × 20 is an elasto-plastic butyl sealing tape for waterproofing joints of precast reinforced concrete elements. It is mostly used for well rings, sewer manholes and other precast concrete structures – the tape fills the gap between elements and stops both groundwater and gases.
Unlike cement mortar, a butyl seal does not crack when the ground moves or freezes, and it is waterproof immediately after installation – no curing time.

Where to use it
- Well rings – drinking water and drainage wells.
- Sewer manholes and septic tanks made of precast concrete.
- Reinforced concrete pipes and channels – sealing joints.
- Other precast elements – foundation blocks, chambers, hatches.
How to install
- Clean the joint surface of the lower element from soil, dust and ice; keep it as dry as possible.
- Lay the tape around the full perimeter of the joint surface, removing the liner.
- Press the tape ends tightly together so no gap remains in the seal.
- Lower the next element – its weight compresses the butyl and fills the joint.
Porous or dusty concrete can be pre-treated with Alenor Super-Fix primer.
Frequently asked questions
Can it be used to repair an existing well?
K2S is meant for joints during installation, when elements are pressed together. For sealing existing seams and gaps, the butyl cord or butyl fleece tape is handier.
Are tools needed?
No, the tape is applied by hand; no heating or mortar is required.
