ALENOR SUPER FIX Spray Adhesive Primer
ALENOR SUPER FIX is an aerosol adhesive primer that improves tape adhesion on difficult surfaces. When a butyl or window tape comes off concrete, aerated concrete, plaster or brick, the cause is almost always a dusty or porous surface. Super Fix binds the dust, consolidates the crumbly top layer and creates a smooth, tacky base the tape can bond to across its full width.
The primer is low in toxicity, chlorine-free, fast-drying and heat-resistant. The manufacturer makes it in two versions – with a pink application marker (so you see where you have primed) and clear.

Where to use it
- Preparing window openings before applying internal and external window tape.
- Improving butyl tape adhesion on porous and crumbly surfaces – roofs, chimneys, foundations.
- Bonding foamed rubber sheets and gluing various materials together.
How to use
- Remove dust, dirt and loose particles; the surface must be dry.
- Shake the can and spray a thin, even coat the width of the tape.
- Let it dry for about 4 minutes until tacky but not wet.
- Apply the tape and press it firmly with a pressure roller.
Work in a well-ventilated area and keep the can away from heat.
Frequently asked questions
Is primer always needed?
Usually not on clean metal, glass and smooth plastic. On concrete, aerated concrete, plaster, brick and raw timber – yes, it is the cheapest insurance against tape coming off.
Why not on polystyrene?
The solvent damages expanded polystyrene and flexible PVC – do not use Super Fix on these materials.
