Alenor pressure roller
The Alenor pressure roller is a small but essential tool for tape installation. Butyl and acrylic adhesive only bonds where it is pressed – fingers leave air pockets and weak spots where water later gets in. The roller presses the tape evenly over its whole area and, compared with application by hand, increases bond strength at least 3 times.
Technical data
- Roller: polyurethane, smooth surface
- Roller width: 30 mm; diameter: 35 mm
- Handle: natural wood, 13 cm
- Overall length: 18 cm
Advantages
- Smooth polyurethane surface does not scratch the tape or leave marks.
- Ergonomic, compact and light – easy to work in tight spots.
- Wooden handle does not slip.
- Bright colour – the roller does not get lost on site.
- Durable – lasts for years.
Which tapes to use it with
- Butyl tapes – roofs, chimneys, gutters, e.g. BF aluminium-butyl tape, roof ridge tape.
- Window tapes – internal and external window tape, especially in corners.
- Acrylic and aluminium tapes – M-Band, Duo-Band, reinforced aluminium tape.
How to use
- Apply the tape to a clean, dry surface (prime porous surfaces with Super-Fix first).
- Roll firmly over the tape, working from the middle towards the edges.
- Pay extra attention to corners, joints and tape edges – that is where leaks start most often.
Frequently asked questions
Will the tape hold without a roller?
It will, but weaker. Butyl tape bonds through pressure – the better it is pressed, the longer the joint lasts.
