Alenor NSP (SOFT) PRO sound insulation kit for sewer pipes
Alenor NSP (SOFT) PRO is a self-adhesive sound insulation kit for plastic and metal drain pipes. It solves one of the most common complaints in apartment buildings and new builds – water rushing through the soil stack, audible through the wall or plasterboard box every time a toilet is flushed. The kit reduces the noise by up to 24 dB and is designed for a 3 m, Ø110 mm stack.
A plastic pipe is light and transmits sound well. The NSP material adds mass and a damping layer: the butyl layer reduces vibration of the pipe wall, the foamed rubber absorbs sound and the aluminium foil reflects it and protects the insulation.
Kit contents
- 6 self-adhesive sheets 395 × 500 mm – each wraps a Ø110 mm pipe and covers 0.5 m of the stack
- 2 additional sheets 150 × 430 mm – for joints and trickier spots
- 6 m of aluminium tape for sealing insulation seams
Technical data
- Noise reduction: up to 24 dB; material sound insulation index Rw 26 dB
- Composition: synthetic rubber, butyl layer, aluminium foil, adhesive layer
- Colour: black / metallic
- Service temperature: −50 °C to +100 °C
- Application temperature: +5 °C to +40 °C

Where to use it
- Soil stacks in apartments, houses and offices
- Pipes inside plasterboard boxes, niches and partitions
- Drain pipes running through living spaces
- Metal and plastic pipes in bathrooms and service areas
How to install
- The pipe must be clean and dry. If it will be boxed in, insulate it before closing the box.
- Remove the release film and wrap the sheet around the pipe so the longitudinal seam overlaps.
- Apply the next sheet tight against the previous one, leaving no gaps.
- Seal all seams and joints with the aluminium tape included in the kit.
A stack can usually be insulated in 30–40 minutes without special tools.
Frequently asked questions
Does the kit fit other diameters?
The kit is made for Ø110 mm pipe. For larger diameters, bends and other surfaces, use NSP MultiLayer sound insulation in rolls.
Noise still comes through the wall – what else?
Pipe clamps often transmit the sound. Put XLPE acoustic tape between the clamp and the pipe or wall to break the vibration path.
Can it be used on metal pipes?
Yes, it adheres well to both plastic and steel and protects the surface against corrosion.

Простая установка, материал удобен в работе. Из замечаний — хотелось бы немного больше алюминиевой ленты, и тогда было бы идеально. Спасибо!
